Woman Sexually Assaulted on Liverpool to Wigan Train

A woman was sexually assaulted onboard the 7.12pm train from Liverpool on 29 August, around 7.30pm. The horrifying attack happened as the train neared St Helens.

Incident Reported, Police Launch Investigation

The victim alerted the train guard at St Helens, who immediately contacted police. Detectives say the suspect boarded at Liverpool Lime Street and got off at Wigan.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and CCTV Help

Officers have released a CCTV image of the man and believe he may hold vital information. They’re urging anyone who recognises him or who was on the train to come forward.
