Man Released on Bail After Bar Incident Sparks Homicide Probe

A 38-year-old man arrested at the scene of a violent altercation outside the Terrace Bar has been released on police bail. The incident has now been declared a homicide investigation.

Two Clashes Outside Terrace Bar

Detective Inspector Steve Menzies of the Major Investigation Team revealed there were two related incidents involving the same group on the night in question.

“We know that three men were asked to leave the bar at around 8:30pm, which sparked an altercation outside,” DI Menzies said. “A second incident followed just after 10pm, again outside the bar.”

Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

CCTV footage shows several people witnessed parts of the events. The police are appealing to anyone who was in the area or saw anything to come forward, no matter how small the detail.

“Your evidence, no matter how insignificant you feel it may be, could be vital to the police investigation,” said DI Menzies.
