Four Arrested After Hit-and-Run Leaves Man Fighting for Life

Man, 58, Hit by Car on Birmingham Street

A 58-year-old man was struck by a Seat Leon between Muntz Street and Charles Road at around 11pm last night. The car briefly stopped at the scene before speeding off, leaving the victim critically injured.

Teens and Young Man Taken into Custody

Shortly after the crash, three boys aged 17 and a 19-year-old man turned themselves in at a Birmingham police station. All four suspects were arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Our investigation is making good progress and we’ve already spoken to several witnesses, but I’d urge anyone with dash cam, helmet cam, or CCTV footage to get in touch.”
