Third Arrest Made in Worksop Assault Case
Police swooped on a house in Anston Avenue, Worksop, after reports that a man had been seriously attacked inside. The victim suffered facial injuries, but thankfully, they are not life-altering.
A 27-year-old man was arrested on Friday, 29 April 2022, on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He has since been released on conditional bail as the investigation continues.
Previous Two Arrests Linked to Same Incident
This latest arrest pushes the total to three. Earlier, on 15 April, two men aged 42 and 20 were held on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, only hours after the attack. Both were also released on conditional bail.
Police Urge Public to Come Forward
“It is extremely important that everyone knows that this type of behaviour is completely unacceptable,” said Detective Sergeant Georgina Gallagher of Nottinghamshire Police. “We will always do everything in our power to keep this type of violence off our streets.”
Police are continuing their inquiries and ask anyone with information to get in touch as soon as possible.
