Homeless Robber Caught After Terrifying Home Invasion in Bracknell
Jasmine Junor, 29, with no fixed address, has been jailed for four years and four months after pleading guilty to robbery at Reading Crown Court.
Late-Night Break-In Shocks Victim
Just after midnight on 19 April, the victim was at home on Crowthorne Road, Bracknell, when loud banging at her window startled her.
Thinking it was a neighbour, she opened the door—only for Junor to shove her aside and barge inside, pinning her between the door and hallway wall.
The victim tried to block her further entry, but Junor forcefully pushed past, knocking the woman’s arm against the doorframe.
Threats, Theft, and a Shiny Weapon
Once inside, Junor acted erratically, claiming she was homeless and needed money. She then threatened to stab the victim if she didn’t hand over cash. The victim spotted Junor clutching something shiny—implied to be a weapon.
Junor grabbed the victim’s handbag, emptied it, and made off with £85 in cash.
The victim bravely waved her walking stick at Junor, forcing her to flee the property.
Justice Served Thanks to Victim’s Courage
“This was an upsetting and traumatic experience for the victim, who should have been safe inside her own home,” said Detective Constable Tracey McQueen of the Priority Crime Team.
“She showed tremendous courage in challenging Junor and helped us bring her to justice by positively identifying her in an identification parade.”
“Junor has rightly received a lengthy prison sentence. I hope she uses this time to turn her life around with the support offered.”
“I also want to thank witnesses and the public for their support in bringing this case to court.”
Despite the ordeal, the victim escaped without injury. Junor’s criminal actions shocked the community but justice has been done.
