Bottle Attack on East London Mosque Sparks Hate Crime Probe
Police rushed to Redchurch Street, E2, at around 6.45pm on Wednesday, 18 May after bottles were hurled at a mosque, smashing windows in a clearly racially and religiously aggravated attack. Thankfully, no one was injured in the vile incident.
Man Caught on CCTV in Hate Crime at Mosque
Despite the chaos, no arrests have been made yet. Officers from the Met’s Central East Command Unit are hot on the trail and have released a CCTV image of a suspect spotted near the mosque. They’re urging anyone who recognises him to get in touch immediately.
