Police Cars Crash on Blue Lights in Tuebrook

Merseyside Police have revealed that two response vehicles collided in Tuebrook while racing on blue lights to separate emergency calls.

Four Officers Hurt, Two Released

The North West Ambulance Service rushed two male and two female officers to hospital. Thankfully, two officers have since been released, while the others remain under care.

No Other Vehicles Involved

Authorities believe the crash involved only the two police vehicles, with no other cars caught up in the smash.

Investigation Underway, Witnesses Urged to Speak

“We are investigating the collision, and CCTV and witness inquiries are ongoing,” said Sergeant Steve Smith of the Merseyside Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit.

“I would like to reach out to anyone who was driving along West Derby Road in the early hours of this morning and witnessed the collision or can assist us with our investigation.”

“Road closures will remain in place today while we conduct our investigations, and I would like to thank the public for their patience as we deal with this incident.”
