Teen Motorcyclist Dies in Horror Crash on A391 Near St Austell

Emergency services scrambled to the A391 just after 7pm on Friday 14 October after a serious crash between the Scredda and Carclaze roundabouts. A black Honda motorcycle collided with a white Citroen Berlingo van and a grey Peugeot 207.

Tragically, 18-year-old Kaius Tutt from St Austell died at the scene despite paramedics’ frantic efforts to save him.

Family Pay Heartfelt Tribute to Kaius

As Kaius’s funeral approaches, his mother has shared a touching tribute to the teenager’s vibrant spirit:

“Kaius – Loved so much by all that knew him. Kaius was the 6’7” teen who couldn’t be missed, not just for his height but for his love of life. He was generous and always listened, lifting others up no matter how small the issue.

Kind even in the face of unkindness, Kaius was a beacon to many – a caring, talented, determined, and funny young man.

His wild, extravagant stories as a child were full of creativity and excitement – that was Kaius. Whether on the dancefloor or jamming on his guitar, his passion lit up every room. He was fiercely himself but deeply sensitive to others.

Family and friends meant the world to him. A talented guitar player, a loyal friend, a compassionate nephew, a helpful cousin, and a committed engineering student who was often first in and last out at work.

We are filled with gratitude for his life and the privilege of sharing it with him – as a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, but most of all a friend. Love and miss you always.”
