Brutal Bottle Attack: Duo Jailed for Horror Street Brawls
Jardel Faure, 24, and Mark Harris, 20, went on a violent spree on 21 October 2021, leaving several victims battered and bruised. Both men from Cradley Heath admitted grievous bodily harm and affray at 1 Crown Court on 22 November, confessing to 10 separate offences.
Booze-Fuelled Rampage Across Three Towns
The trouble kicked off around 4pm when Faure and Harris hit the town centre, downing drinks before boarding a bus to Brierley Hill. There, their violence escalated swiftly. They verbally abused a woman, then smashed a vodka bottle over her head. When bystanders tried to intervene, the pair turned on them viciously, biting and kicking a man on the street.
Next stop was Merry Hill bus station, where a 16-year-old boy was attacked, suffering cuts and bruises to his face and ribs.
Justice Served: Prison Sentences Handed Down
- Jardel Faure was sentenced to 36 months behind bars.
- Mark Harris received 33 months in a Young Offenders’ Institution.
“This was a truly nasty string of unprovoked and brutal attacks,” said DS Drew Turner from the Volume, Violence and Acquisitive Crime team.
“These offenders travelled to three different locations to carry out their appalling crimes, which caused significant physical and emotional harm to their victims.”
“Violence like this is completely unacceptable and we welcome news of this sentencing.”
