Two Held Over Elle’s Christmas Eve Murder as Police Hunt for Gunmen
Two people are currently being questioned in connection with the murder of 26-year-old Elle on Christmas Eve. Overnight, police arrested four men suspected of carrying bladed weapons, public order offences, and drug-related crimes. As part of intensified patrols in Wallasey and nearby areas, officers performed 10 stop searches.
Relentless Police Pledge Justice for Elle
Chief Constable Serena Kennedy promised Merseyside Police will stop at nothing to catch those responsible for Elle’s brutal killing. She said:
“We are absolutely committed to finding those responsible for the callous and cold-blooded murder of 26-year-old Elle on Christmas Eve. Our hearts go out to Elle’s family and friends.”
“Elle was just enjoying Christmas Eve with friends and her sister – something everyone should be able to do safely. As a mum of two girls, I can’t imagine the pain they’re going through. Elle’s family will carry this loss forever.”
“Detectives are working tirelessly to uncover what happened and who is behind this sickening act which has shattered so many lives.”
Wallasey Residents Shaken by Violence
Visiting Wallasey Village on Christmas morning, Chief Constable Kennedy witnessed the deep heartache gripping the community. She condemned the use of guns and violence, calling those involved “cowards”.
“Firearms, violence, and intimidation have no place in our communities,” she said. “Too often, petty disputes end with deadly weapons. Those responsible deserve to spend every Christmas behind bars.”
“If you know anything about this horrific shooting at a crowded local house, do the right thing and come forward.”
Police Urge Witnesses to Step Up
Officers are chasing multiple leads but need the public’s help to crack the case. They’re appealing for any dashcam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage from Wallasey village on Christmas Eve.
