Baseball Bat and Police Baton Found in Car

Police swooped on a car in Brookfield Gardens, Arnold, recovering a baseball bat and police-style baton. Officers responded after reports of three men trying to force another man into a vehicle just after 10.20am on Thursday, 30 March.

Man Arrested Over Offensive Weapons

A 27-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possessing offensive weapons in public. He was later released on bail as investigations continue.

Police Hunt for Other Suspects

Inspector Simon Spooner of Nottinghamshire Police said: “Preventing and reducing the harm caused by dangerous weapons is a priority. We will always deal robustly with anyone suspected of this sort of criminality.”

He added, “We are working hard to trace other individuals involved and urge anyone who saw what happened or has info to get in touch.”
