A criminal gang ran three separate mobile phone ‘drug lines’ to sell Class A and B drugs. These lines took orders and pushed illegal substances across the UK between January 2021 and early 2022.

Key Players Behind the Drug Lines

AJ Davidson, 25, locked up at HMP Ranby, was the main operator of one drug line. He handled daily sales, prepped deals, and delivered drugs to customers. Davidson controlled a cannabis supply line and also ran a second operation dealing Class A drugs, which police found stashed in safes.

Jessica Bayley, 23, of Millers, also played a pivotal role. Both Davidson and Bayley were arrested and questioned on March 11, 2022. They managed the day-to-day running of these drug lines, pushing cannabis through the phones.

Police Crackdown and Sentencing

“My proactive team worked closely with neighbourhood officers to break this operation,”

said a spokesperson. Davidson and Bayley each received 15-month sentences but were released early due to time already served behind bars.

Beware: Protect Your Car from Keyless Thieves

Alongside the drug bust, motorists are warned to guard against rising keyless car thefts. Experts recommend using wheel locks or steering wheel locks to deter criminals. Visible devices in cars often send thieves elsewhere.

  • Keep car keys, including spares, far from your vehicle at home.
  • Use signal-blocking pouches like Faraday bags to block key fob signals.
  • Reprogram keys if you buy a second-hand car.
  • Turn off wireless signals on your fob when not in use.

Taking these simple steps can save you from falling prey to high-tech car thieves.
