Kidnap and Crash Chaos Rocks Hampshire Night
Police in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight are chasing answers after a wild night involving two car crashes and a possible kidnapping on January 6, 2024.
Crash Horror on Village Road
Just after 11pm, a white Ford Focus smashed into a building. Almost at the same time, a black BMW 1 Series ploughed into two pedestrians – a man in his 50s and a 16-year-old girl. Both were rushed to hospital but are expected to survive.

Man Forced Into Car as Police Chase Unfolds
Police got reports of a man forcibly shoved into a white car on Ferrol Road. This vehicle sped away while a black car chased it. Cops believe these events are linked.
Three Arrested Over Kidnap and Dangerous Driving
- A 26-year-old from Gosport faces kidnap and careless driving charges.
- A 20-year-old, also from Gosport, is held for conspiring to kidnap and dangerous driving.
- A 54-year-old Gosport man is arrested on counts of conspiring to kidnap, dangerous driving, and driving under the influence of drugs.
Detective Inspector Hayley Church urged witnesses: “We’re carrying out CCTV and door-to-door enquiries in the area. Anyone around Ferrol or Village Road between 10:15pm and 11:15pm who saw anything suspicious must get in touch.”
