The alarm was raised just before 3 am on Thursday, July 11, when police were called to Finsbury Park. Upon arrival, they found the young victim, who sadly died at the scene.
A crime scene remains in place on Stroud Green Road, at the junction of Tollington Park, as forensic officers continue their investigation. Images from the scene show officers examining the area inside the police cordon, with clothes on the ground, one of which appears to be stained with blood.
The victim’s next of kin have been informed, but no arrests have been made yet. Authorities are urging anyone with information that could assist in their investigation to come forward.
“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or contact us via social media @MetCC and quote CAD873/11Jul,” said a police spokesperson. “You can also provide information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
