Greater Manchester Police are in a frenzy to track down Hassan Mahmood, who bolted during his trial for horrific child sex offences. Mahmood, from Gigg Lane, Bury, was found guilty after a four-day hearing at Manchester Crown Court.
Guilty of Shocking Crimes Against Children
- Penetrative sexual activity with a girl under 13
- Causing a child under 13 to view sexual images
- Sexual acts in presence of a child under 13
- Sexual communication with a child
These vile offences came to light after a detailed probe by the Bury Complex Safeguarding Team.
Trial Interruptus: Mahmood Flees on Day Two
Mahmood made his getaway on the second day of the trial and remains missing. The court pressed on without him, but he is now officially a wanted man.
“We don’t know where Mahmood is, but we are determined to find him no matter where he thinks he can hide,” said a GMP spokesperson.
