Six Teens Arrested After Shotgun Fired in Chingford
Police swooped early this morning, arresting six teenage boys following a terrifying shotgun attack in Chingford, Waltham Forest.
Shotgun Fired from Stolen Car
On Monday, 13 September, at around 9.30pm, two 17-year-olds were outside a house when a stolen vehicle sped past. A suspect inside fired two shots from a shotgun, narrowly missing the boys who ducked for cover before the car sped off.
Met’s Trident Team Cracks Case
The Met’s Trident unit, notorious for tackling gun and gang crime, launched an intensive investigation. Their efforts led to today’s raids, where six male teens aged 16 to 18 were arrested. Officers also seized around £1,000 in cash. All suspects remain in custody at an east London police station.
Detective Inspector Iain Wallace said: “Our top priority is to tackle gun crime on London’s streets and reduce violence linked to drug supply. We urge the community to come forward with any information on weapons, either in person or anonymously.”
