River Wyre Search Sparks Panic – But Ends in Relief
An urgent search on the River Wyre in Garstang yesterday caused alarm after a welfare concern call. But thankfully, the drama ended with no one found in trouble.
All Hands on Deck as Emergency Services Rush In
At 4pm on Monday, Lancashire Police, Fire and Rescue, HM Coastguard, and North West Ambulance Service hurried to the scene. They launched a full-scale operation following reports of someone potentially in danger.
Intense River Search Finds Nothing Amiss
Firefighters and coastguard crews combed the river, scanning every inch with high vigilance. Despite the intense search, no person in distress was found.
Authorities have since confirmed the initial calls were made out of concern but were unfounded. All emergency teams stood down after declaring the area safe.
