A vile Greater Manchester paedophile who posed as a teenager online to groom and sexually assault teenage girls has been locked up for a decade. Scott Kirkham, from Tameside, used fake profiles to trap his victims before carrying out sick abuse.

Thirty Charges, Guilty Plea

Kirkham, from Hope Street, Audenshaw, pleaded guilty to a shocking total of 30 offences, including:

  • 6 counts of sexual communication
  • 10 counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity
  • 6 counts of causing a child to watch a sexual act
  • 5 counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child
  • 2 counts of malicious communication
  • Sexual assault on a female over 16

Justice Served

At Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court, Kirkham was sentenced to 10 years behind bars. He will then serve an additional three years on licence, alongside an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and mandatory registration on the sex offenders’ register.

The Complex Safeguarding Team in Tameside, working with several police forces, led the investigation that exposed Kirkham’s sickening online grooming operation.
