A 34-year-old man has been locked up for life after a brutal street fight ended in murder in Spalding. Viktors Zeglovs, homeless and on the run, was sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court on Thursday, 11 December.
Street Clash Turns Deadly
Vadim Zmicrevskis, the victim, was savagely killed on 11 November 2024. The fatal attack erupted after a heated argument between the pair on the streets of Spalding. Zeglovs lashed out, slashing Vadim’s neck with a broken bottle right at the junction of Green Lane and St Thomas Road.
Life Sentence with Minimum 11 Years
The judge handed Zeglovs a life sentence with a minimum of 11 years and 306 days before he can even apply for parole. The savage attack extinguished the life of a man caught up in a deadly dispute with his friend.
