Human Remains Found After 16 Years Confirmed as Missing Polish Woman

27-Year-Old Vanished in 2006

Leicestershire Police have confirmed the grim discovery made last October is the remains of Malgorzata Wnuczek. The 27-year-old Polish woman went missing in May 2006 while living in Leicester.

The tragic remains were uncovered in scrubland off Great Central Way near Watkin Road, ending a mystery that haunted her family for over a decade.

Forensic Tests Seal Identity

Police sent the remains for detailed forensic testing to verify the identity. Confirmed now, the investigation continues with renewed urgency.

Family Supported as Police Press on

Authorities are working closely with Ms Wnuczek’s family, offering support and urging the public to respect their privacy during this difficult time. Leicestershire Police are also liaising with Poland’s KWP Bydgoszcz to assist the ongoing inquiry.
