A man has been charged over backing the deadly October 7 Hamas attacks during a heated protest in Swiss Cottage.
Mohamed Hassn Hits with Serious Charges
Mohamed Hassn, 27, also known as Mohamed Al-Mail, from Stanmore, faces charges of causing racially aggravated harassment, alarm, or distress. The offence falls under tough laws — Section 4A of the Public Order Act 1998 and Section 31 of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.
Protest Outburst Caught on Camera
The incident happened at a demo on 20 September 2024, and video footage quickly went viral online. Police launched a swift investigation and arrested Hassn the very next day. He was later released on bail.
Police Persistence Wins Out
Despite the Crown Prosecution Service twice dropping the case earlier this year, officers kept pressing until charges were finally secured.
Hassn is due to face Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 19 January 2026.
