Massive Scrap Yard Blaze Erupts in Kingswinford

Firefighters are locked in a fierce battle against a towering inferno at a Kingswinford scrap yard. Around 100 tonnes of scrap metal and household appliances are blazing fiercely after the fire broke out just after 7am on Thursday at the Oak Lane site.

Fire Crews Go Full Throttle to Tackle Blaze

West Midlands Fire Service sprung into action, sending seven fire engines immediately. Backup arrived fast, including a high-volume water pumping unit to douse the flames. Firefighters are pulling out all stops, working alongside site staff who are moving scrap metal with heavy machinery to carve fire breaks and stop the blaze spreading like wildfire.

No Injuries But Locals Told to Stay Safe

Thankfully, no one has been hurt so far. However, thick smoke is billowing across the area, prompting urgent warnings for nearby residents to keep windows and doors shut tight as a safety precaution.

Fire’s Cause Still a Complete Mystery

Officials have yet to determine what sparked the massive fire. Fire crews are expected to remain on-site for several hours, battling to bring the scrap yard inferno under control.
