Three Midlands crooks behind a spate of car key burglaries have been handed a combined jail term of nearly 24 years. The ruthless gang wreaked havoc across West Mercia before finally being caught and convicted at Redditch Crown Court.

Midlands Burglar Trio Busted for Ten Thefts

Kian Davies, 25, Connor O’Keefe-Clancey, 21, and Ethan Beresford, 25, were found guilty of conspiring to burgle homes and steal vehicles. Their crime spree hit areas including Bromsgrove, Lickey, and Earlswood in Warwickshire, plus addresses scattered across Staffordshire and Northamptonshire. All took place during February and March last year.

The Dirty Details: Lock Snapping and Blow Torching

The gang gained entry using brutal methods like lock snapping and blow torching. Once inside, they nabbed car keys and made off with high-end motors – BMWs, Mercedes, Audis – leaving victims threatened as they fled. They used a VW Golf R with fake or cloned plates to move around swiftly.

Sentences Handed Down After Major Investigation

  • Kian Davies got 7 years 5 months
  • Connor O’Keefe-Clancey received 7 years 7 months
  • Ethan Beresford was jailed for 8 years 9 months, including extra time for burglary and attempted burglary charges

The total sentences add up to 23 years and 10 months locked up.

Police detectives DC Jodi Lothian and DC Max Beswick, under DS Kirsty Hill’s watchful eye, cracked the case through detailed phone analysis and phone mast data, pinning the gang at crime scenes.

This hard-hitting conviction sends a clear message: burglars targeting your homes and motors won’t get away lightly.
