A man in his 40s was stabbed on Arnside Street, near Queen’s Row, at around 4.30pm yesterday (March 4).
Suspect Arrested Minutes Later
Officers and paramedics rushed to the scene after the stabbing. The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Police quickly arrested a 39-year-old man nearby on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He remains in custody.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
“Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 16:26 on Wednesday, 4 March following reports of a stabbing in Walworth,” a Met Police spokesperson said.
“Officers arrived with paramedics and the victim, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital with injuries not considered life-changing or life-threatening.
A 39-year-old man was arrested near the scene at 16:33 on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He remains in custody.”
