Ammar Moqbal, 32, targeted a young girl at a Sheffield party. He plied her with drinks before carrying out a horrific rape. The victim, showing incredible courage, fled the scene and flagged down a passerby for help.
Speedy Police Arrest
Thanks to the quick-thinking victim and fast police action, Moqbal was snapped up and charged with raping a child aged between 13 and 15. He was held on Exter Drive, Sheffield, where he lives.
Justice at Sheffield Crown Court
Despite denying the charges, Moqbal was found guilty by a jury in October 2025. On 3 March, he was slammed with a nine-year prison sentence, offering some measure of justice and relief for his brave young victim.
