Ukraine is sending its top drone experts to the Gulf to help Middle Eastern nations fend off a relentless wave of Iranian drone attacks. Meanwhile, British tourists scramble to escape the escalating chaos.
Zelensky Offers Ukraine’s Drone Warfare Expertise
President Volodymyr Zelensky has pledged Ukrainian support amid Iran’s ongoing drone onslaughts targeting US bases and Gulf states. He revealed that elite Ukrainian “drone hunters,” battle-hardened from fighting Russian drones in Ukraine, are set to deploy to the region.
“Our military possesses the necessary capabilities. Ukrainian experts will work on site, and the teams are already discussing this,” Zelensky said.
The deadly Shahed drones terrorising Middle East cities are the very same ones that Putin’s forces have been using mercilessly against Ukraine’s infrastructure and civilians.
Gulf States Brace for More Attacks
Zelensky confirmed talks are underway with the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan, Kuwait, and other countries neighbouring Iran to provide high-tech drone defence support.
“All of them face serious challenges and speak openly about them,” Zelensky added. “We are ready to help protect lives, civilians, and support efforts to stabilise the region, especially safe shipping.”
He warned that the Iranian regime remains a grave threat not just locally but to global stability, showing no signs of genuine diplomacy.
Brits Stranded as Evacuation Flight is Grounded
As tensions soar, British nationals caught in the Middle East are desperate to escape. The first evacuation flight from Muscat, Oman, was unexpectedly grounded, forcing Brits to return to their hotels after long waits.
The chaos follows a series of Iran-backed drone strikes, including a recent attack on a UK air base in Cyprus.
Meanwhile, Ukraine is reportedly considering rescheduling peace talks with Russia, originally set for early March, amid the Middle East turmoil.
Iran’s Regional Reign of Terror Continues

Zelensky has ordered Ukraine’s military intelligence chiefs to explore ways to assist Gulf partners — without weakening Ukraine’s own defences.
“No state neighbouring Iran can feel safe,” Zelensky warned. “The Iranian regime has yet to show real intent for honest diplomacy or change.”
British travellers stranded in the Middle East will be watching anxiously as Ukraine’s drone hunters gear up to confront Iran’s flying menace.
