A man was found dead at Toddler’s Cove in Canterbury yesterday afternoon, sparking a swift emergency response.
Emergency Services Called, But Man Pronounced Dead
Officers rushed to the scene at around 12.30pm on March 11. Sadly, the man was pronounced dead shortly after their arrival.
His next of kin have been informed. Police say the death is being treated as non-suspicious, and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
Park Building Cordoned Off Near Children’s Play Area
A building close to the children’s play area was taped off while the incident was investigated. All cordons have now been lifted, and the park has returned to normal.
Council Praises Grounds Team Hero
A Canterbury City Council spokesperson said: “We’re really grateful to a member of our Canenco grounds maintenance team who alerted the emergency services and supported people at the scene until the police and ambulance crews arrived.
Canenco is supporting those members of staff involved.”
