A tragic collision has claimed the life of a young boy in Sutton-in-Ashfield. Seven-year-old Logan Parker was fatally hit by a car along the A38 Kings Mill Road East on Tuesday evening.

Tragic Accident on A38

Emergency services rushed to the scene near Kingfisher Way at 8.26pm after reports of the crash. Despite their efforts, Logan died at the scene. The driver stayed and is cooperating with the police.

Nottinghamshire Police closed the A38 in both directions during the investigation, reopening it later. Officers are now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage to help piece together what happened.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Inspector Jamie Moore from Nottinghamshire’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said:

“This is a devastating incident and our thoughts are with Logan’s family and loved ones.

“We ask for privacy for the family during this painful time.

“If you witnessed the collision or have dashcam footage, please contact us on 101, quoting incident number 770 of 10 March.”
