Knife fiend finally banged up after third strike! Raul Maretic-Ramos, 23, has been jailed for two-and-a-half years following his latest knife crime conviction.
Knife Threat Sparks Chaos in Peterborough’s Cathedral Square
On 3 March last year, enforcement officers from Peterborough City Council swooped in after Maretic-Ramos threatened a man with a knife right in the middle of the busy Cathedral Square.
Police arrived swiftly and arrested the 23-year-old, who was also caught carrying cannabis.
Denied Knife Threat but Found Guilty at Crown Court
Despite denying he’d threatened anyone with an offensive weapon in public, Maretic-Ramos from Manor Gardens, Stanground, Peterborough, was found guilty after a December trial at Cambridge Crown Court.
He was sentenced to 30 months behind bars on 9 March, marking his third knife crime conviction and a victory for law enforcement cracking down on repeat offenders.
