A horrifying accident unfolded today on Kilburn High Street, north London, as a man was reportedly crushed under a heavy construction digger.
Forensic Tent Erected at Crash Scene
The incident happened around midday Thursday near the corner of Belsize Road, right outside Franca Manca. A forensic tent was quickly set up in front of the yellow Volvo digger equipped with a mechanical claw. Police have cordoned off the area and are investigating the crash.

The road remains closed while authorities comb through the scene. Investigators are collecting CCTV footage from local businesses and council cameras to determine exactly how the tragedy unfolded.
A local mum-of-two working in a nearby café described the aftermath: “We heard a wall of noise, there were cars beeping and people screaming. Then all the emergency services raced in. It was proper carnage.”
