Joshua Rose, 35, from Pinelands, Horsford, has been locked up for 10 years after stabbing a doorman outside the Troll Cart Wetherspoons in Great Yarmouth. The violent attack happened just after midnight on May 24, 2023 — during the busy May bank holiday weekend.
Victim Survives Stanley Knife Attack
Rose plunged a Stanley knife into the victim, a doorman in his 20s, sparking chaos outside the pub. The injured man was rushed to James Paget Hospital, but thankfully escaped serious long-term harm.
Convicted at Norwich Crown Court
- Guilty of grievous bodily harm with intent
- Possession of a knife in a public place
- Sentenced to 6 years behind bars + 4 years extended licence
- An additional 30-month concurrent sentence for knife possession
Police arrested Rose the same day. The court handed down his harsh sentence on November 28, sending a clear message against pub violence. A Stanley knife in a melee is a one-way ticket to jail.
