Sussex Police swooped on a violent fight in broad daylight on Etchingham Road, Eastbourne, on Friday morning.
Brawl Erupts in Busy Eastbourne Road
Officers were called at around 11:45am on March 20 after reports of a nasty altercation. The chaos quickly turned serious, leaving police with no choice but to step in.
Two Men Bailed, Woman Charged
- A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
- A 25-year-old man faces charges of attempted assault causing grievous bodily harm and affray.
Both men have been released on bail while the investigation continues.
Woman Arrested for Assaulting Police
A 30-year-old woman caught up in the drama was arrested at the scene for being drunk and disorderly. She also faces two counts of assaulting a police officer during their duty.
She has been formally charged and is due before Hastings Magistrates’ Court on July 1.
Sussex Police continue to investigate the incident as the community reels from the shocking midday melee.
