Wrexham Man Pleads Guilty to Selling Deadly Chemicals Online Linked to Two Suicides

Dark Online Trade Exposed

Miles Cross, 33, from Wrexham, has admitted selling lethal chemicals through an internet forum. The substance he sold is believed to have caused two tragic suicides. Cross pleaded guilty to charges of encouraging and assisting suicide after running his grim business under a fake name.

Starting in July 2024, Cross used a QR code on the forum to take payments directly into his bank account. He pocketed around £100 from four buyers before sending out the deadly packages.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) confirmed two deaths linked to the substances. One victim was 26-year-old Shubhreet Singh from Leeds, who died last year.

Police Raid Uncovers Evidence

Police swooped in January 2025, arresting Cross and searching his home. Officers found the chemicals alongside incriminating items. Digital devices seized connected him to the forum, social media accounts, and the bank transactions used to run his sinister operation.

DCS Chris Bell slammed Cross: “He exploited his victims in their most desperate moments, profiting off their vulnerability and mental illnesses. I hope today’s admission brings some relief to the victims’ families, sparing them the ordeal of a trial.”

CPS Vows Justice Ahead of Sentencing

Alison Storey, CPS Specialist Prosecutor, blasted Cross’s actions as purely money-driven, making a deadly chemical shockingly easy to get online.

“This case is a stark reminder of the dangers posed by those exploiting vulnerable people online. We will always hold offenders accountable,” Storey said.

Three other victims remain unnamed under strict reporting restrictions due to “very significant sensitivities.” Cross is due to be sentenced at Mold Crown Court on January 7. The judge has hinted his guilty plea may reduce his sentence.
