Ogunyankinnu Speaks Out at Stratford Court
Oluwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, 27, of Enfield, was pictured for the first time as he stood in the dock at Stratford Magistrates’ Court, east London, on Monday. Raising his hands in the air, he insisted the police “got the wrong person.” Charged with the murder of Finbar Sullivan, who died after a fatal stabbing last Tuesday on Primrose Hill, Ogunyankinnu confirmed his identity but was not asked to enter a plea. Instead, he pleaded his innocence directly to the court.
Remanded in Custody, Next Hearing at Old Bailey
District Judge Ashwinder Gill, deeming the case too serious for the magistrates’ court, sent Ogunyankinnu back to custody. He is due to appear next at the Old Bailey on Wednesday.
