Emergency Rush to Kent Seaside
A 53-year-old man was found dead at Newgate Gap, Cliftonville, Kent, after emergency crews raced to the scene amid welfare concerns. Police and paramedics arrived at around 11:27am on Monday, April 13, but sadly, the man was pronounced dead on-site.
Police Confirm No Suspicious Circumstances
Kent Police have confirmed the death is being treated as non-suspicious. A spokesperson said:
“Kent Police was called following concerns for the welfare of a man in Newgate Gap, Margate, at 11.27am on Monday 13 April. Officers attended along with South East Ambulance Service and a 53-year-old man was pronounced deceased. His next of kin have been informed. The death is being treated as non-suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
Area Sealed Off Following Incident
Police quickly sealed off a large stretch of the area. Cordons were set up along Ethelbert Crescent from the children’s play park towards Queen’s Court, including the slope leading down to the beach. Locals are urged to avoid the area as investigations continue.
