Madalin Ilinca, 34, from Stafford Road, Great Yarmouth, has been charged with raping a teenage girl on Great Yarmouth beach and two counts of sexual assault against another complainant aged 16 or over. The offences allegedly took place between 15 and 16 May. Ilinca, a Romanian national, was arrested after being stopped at Dover port while re-entering the UK.
Court Appearance Via Video
Ilinca appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court through a video link with an interpreter. He was remanded in custody pending his next court date.

He is due to appear before Norwich Crown Court on 6 July to face the charges formally.
Second Suspect On Bail
A second man in his 30s remains on bail in connection with the same incident as the investigation continues.
