Hit-and-Run Shocker: Boy on Scooter Struck by BMW in London Road
At 2.21pm yesterday (15/11), a boy scootering at the London Road and Wharton Road junction was slammed into by a black BMW. The driver didn’t stop and vanished from the scene.
Injured Boy Treated and Released
The youngster suffered minor injuries that needed hospital treatment but was discharged shortly after. Thankfully, his wounds were only grazes and soreness, with no serious damage.
Police Hunt Driver and Passengers
The BMW had a male driver and a female front-seat passenger. No further details about the driver’s identity have been released. PC David Burleigh, from the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing in Abingdon, appealed for witnesses.
“If you were in the area and saw anything, or have dash-cam footage, please get in touch. Your information could be crucial,” said PC Burleigh.
