19-Year-Old Arrested After Off-Duty Cop Stabbed in Strood Brawl
Young Man Held on Attempted Murder
A 19-year-old from Orpington was arrested on Wednesday, July 20, on suspicion of attempted murder. The arrest came after an off-duty police officer was viciously stabbed during an altercation in Strood.
Attack Sparks Air Ambulance Response
The shocking assault happened in the early hours of Monday, July 18, on Commercial Road. The off-duty officer had just visited a nearby takeaway when a heated verbal spat with the suspect escalated into violence.
The officer was airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries but has since been discharged.
