Bungling Burglar Tries to Outsmart Police as ‘Solar Panel’ in Wandsworth
In a bizarre twist, a Wandsworth burglar tried to dodge the National Police Air Service (NPAS) by lying flat on a roof, pretending to be a solar panel. Spoiler: It didn’t work.
Police See Through Ridiculous Disguise
The thief hoped to blend in with the rooftop and escape the eagle-eyed NPAS chopper circling above. But the police quickly spotted him and shared the hilarious story on Twitter. NPAS London joked, “They’ll never find me if I just lie here pretending to be a solar panel!” Wrong!!”
Adding a cheeky warning to other would-be crooks, they said: “Pretending to be a solar panel on a roof is not going to deceive us or our camera!!… You are most welcome!”
Not the First Time Crooks’ Ridiculous Hiding Fails
NPAS revealed this isn’t the first time burglars have tried absurd tactics to avoid capture. They posted a photo of another suspect hiding beneath some roofing wood with the caption: “This isn’t the first time someone has tried to hide on a roof from us! They can’t see me if I can’t see them!”
Londoners Love Police’s Wit and Vigilance
The public loved the amusing updates, roasting the hapless criminals’ foolish schemes and praising NPAS’s sharp eyes and sense of humour. One thing’s clear – no rooftop or solar panel can fool the NPAS. They’re always one step ahead in keeping London safe.
