Body Found on Grass Verge in Twydall Spurs Suspicious Death Inquiry
The lifeless body of 53-year-old John Convey from Gillingham was discovered just before 11:30pm on Thursday, 13 July 2023. It was found on a grass verge along Lower Twydall Lane.
Kent Police Launch Major Crime Probe
Kent Police’s Major Crime Unit are treating Mr Convey’s death as suspicious. The cause of death remains unknown.
Detective Chief Inspector Kathleen Way said: “We have taken the unusual step of releasing an image of Mr Convey in the hope that someone recognises him. We want to trace his last movements and ask anyone with information to come forward, no matter how small.”
Witnesses Urgently Needed
Police are keen to hear from anyone who saw John between 4pm and 11:30pm in Twydall or nearby areas. This includes pedestrians and drivers.
