Man Stabbed to Death on Lambeth Estate Sparks Murder Probe

A murder investigation is underway after a man was fatally stabbed on the Black Prince Estate in Kennington, Lambeth.

Tragic Scene in Kennington

Police rushed to the scene shortly after 10pm on Saturday, 11 July, following reports of a stabbing. Officers and London Ambulance Service found a 30-year-old man suffering multiple stab wounds. Despite desperate life-saving efforts, he was declared dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed, with formal identification and a post-mortem examination planned.

Second Victim Survives

Minutes later, a 26-year-old man turned up at hospital with stab injuries believed linked to the same attack. Police confirm his wounds are not life-threatening.

Detectives Vow Justice

The Specialist Crime team, led by DCI Dave Whellams, has launched a full-scale murder investigation.

A man has lost his life and a family is left devastated due to the callous use of a knife,” DCI Whellams said. “Officers and paramedics did all they could, but tragically he died at the scene.”

DCI Whellams promised, “I will use every tactic available to bring those responsible to justice. The investigation is still in its early days, but we’re already piecing together what happened.”

He urged anyone with information to come forward. “If you witnessed anything, please contact my officers or reach out to Crimestoppers anonymously.”

Police Boost Patrols as Hunt Continues

The Met’s Central South Command is backing the inquiry with increased patrols around the estate and Kennington area. Authorities have made no arrests yet.
