Murder Probe Under Way After Woman Found Dead in Bexley Home
Police have launched a murder investigation after a 66-year-old woman was found dead inside a house in Bexley.
Woman Discovered Collapsed at Becketts Close
Officers were called to Becketts Close at around 9.15pm on Tuesday, 8 September, after the woman was found collapsed. London Ambulance Service also attended but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Man Arrested on Suspicion of Murder
A man, believed to know the victim, was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at a south London police station as the investigation continues.
Detectives Urge Public to Come Forward
Detective Chief Inspector Mick Norman, leading the inquiry, said: “We are at the very early stages of our investigation, we have arrested a man and our enquiries continue at a pace.”
He added: “Our thoughts are with the deceased’s family at this sad time. I urge anyone who has information, but has not yet come forward, to get in touch without delay.”
