Police swooped on a Dartford pub and nabbed a 23-year-old man after uncovering a stash of drugs hidden inside a discarded bag. The bust took place on Saturday 1 October 2022, during a proactive operation targeting drug crime.
Drugs Found in Pub Raid
Inside the pub, officers found:
- 26 wraps of suspected cocaine
- 24 bags of suspected amphetamines
- 19 blue pills, believed to be ecstasy and MDMA
- A quantity of cash
They also seized a mobile phone thought to be used for drug dealing. The arrested man from Dartford has been released pending further investigation.
Dogs Take a Bite Out of Crime
Kent Police’s licensing team and North Kent’s Community Safety Unit led the operation. Drug dogs PD Dougal and PD Hector sniffed out the illicit substances with precision.
The teams visited seven premises across Dartford, Greenhithe, and Gravesend, looking for drugs and any drug-related activity.
More Drugs Discovered Across the Region
- Suspected cocaine was found in pubs in Dartford and Greenhithe.
- Cannabis was detected in a Gravesend pub.
Officers stopped and searched 10 people under the Misuse of Drugs Act during the raids.

“Operations like these deliver strong results and remind criminals we can be anywhere at any time,” said Chief Inspector Will Lay, district commander for Dartford and Gravesend.
“If you deal drugs, expect to face the consequences.”
