Police are hunting witnesses after a brazen robbery in Henley-on-Thames left a pensioner robbed of his prized Rolex. The shocking incident took place at around 4pm on Saturday (3/10) on Church Avenue, near St Mary’s Church.
Victim Pushed and Stripped of Luxury Timepiece
A man in his seventies was walking peacefully when a gang of four — two men and two women — cornered him. They shoved him into a wall before making off with his stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual.
Police Describe Young, Olive-Complexioned Culprits
- Two men, about 5ft 10ins to 6ft tall, olive complexion, early twenties
- Woman 1: Shoulder-length brown hair, slim build, 5ft 4ins to 5ft 5ins, wearing dark trousers with red triangular stripes and a dark top
- Woman 2: Brown hair, slim build, around 5ft tall, dressed in dark trousers and top
Police Plea: Help Crack the Case
“I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident, or anyone who may have information about what happened, to please come forward,” said PC Stacey Bateman from Didcot police station.
“Residents with CCTV or dash-cam footage are urged to check their recordings for anything unusual.”
