Emergency services raced to Tintern Drive, Whitemoor, Nottingham at 1.28pm on Monday, December 12, after reports of a house fire. Tragically, a woman in her 70s was found dead at the scene.

Police and Fire Chiefs Offer Condolences

Inspector Richard Markham of Nottinghamshire Police confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious. “Formal identification will take place, and a coroner’s report is being prepared,” he said. “Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends, who are being supported by specialist officers.”

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue’s Group Manager Chris Clark added: “The fire has been extinguished, and a full investigation into its cause is underway. Our thoughts are with the woman’s family during this difficult time.”
