Man Attacked on Stapleford Lane as Motorists Look On

Police rushed to Stapleford Lane in Toton just after 2pm yesterday (29 October) following a shocking attack spotted by passing drivers.

Victim Found Injured at Scene

Officers arrived to find the victim hurt at the roadside. They gave first aid until an ambulance took him to Queen’s Medical Centre. Thankfully, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Suspect Arrested After Handing Himself In

A 24-year-old man spoke with police over the phone and later turned himself in at Nottingham’s Central Police Station. He was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. The suspect has now been bailed under strict conditions as the investigation continues.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

We will not tolerate this sort of violent disorder on our streets and are working tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice,” said Detective Inspector Paul Lefford of Nottinghamshire Police.

“We have arrested a suspect but our inquiries are ongoing. I urge anyone who saw the incident or has CCTV, dash-cam, or mobile footage to get in touch.”
