Shocking Attack on Teen Jogger in Goodmayes Park
Police are hunting a man after a 14-year-old girl was raped while jogging in Goodmayes Park on Monday, 1 February.
The attack happened around 2.30pm. The victim had just started her run near the basketball courts when a man grabbed her and forced her into the bushes, where he attacked her.
Police Describe Suspect
The suspect is described as a white male, aged 17-20, about 6ft tall with straight blonde hair and a thin moustache. He was wearing blue tracksuit bottoms and a long black jacket.
Investigation Underway – Police Appeal for Witnesses
The victim is receiving support from specially trained officers. Police have boosted patrols in the park and are urging anyone who was nearby to come forward.
Detective Constable Gemma Morris said: “Goodmayes Park would have been busy in the afternoon. If you saw anyone matching this description, please get in touch. Even small details could help our investigation.”
