Hit-and-Run Horror in Small Heath Leaves Woman Critical and Baby Injured
West Midlands Police are hunting for witnesses after a hit-and-run crash left a 30-year-old woman critically injured and her baby son hurt in Small Heath.
Crash Details: Blue Audi Flees Scene
The woman was a passenger in a blue Toyota Yaris when it collided with a blue Audi S3 on Cattel Road, near Arsenal Street, at around 11.44pm. The Audi driver sped off, leaving the injured family behind.
The woman remains in critical condition in hospital. Her partner, 34, and their one-year-old son were also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police Plea: Witnesses and Audi Driver Urged to Come Forward
“This happened on a busy road, and I’m keen to hear from anyone who saw the collision or the blue Audi just before it,” said Det Sgt Paul Hughes of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
“CCTV shows pedestrians and other cars at the scene who haven’t yet spoken to us. I urge them to come forward and help us uncover the full facts.”
“I also appeal directly to the Audi driver — you may not have realised how serious this crash was, but now you do. Do the right thing and come forward.”
Investigation Underway — Can You Help?
The seized Audi will undergo forensic examination as detectives follow multiple leads. Anyone with information or dash cam footage is asked to contact West Midlands Police directly at [email protected] or via Live Chat on their website, quoting log 4650 of 29 March.
