£300k Cash Stash Found in Van on M20
Roads policing officers made a shocking discovery on the M20 near Ashford. During a stop between Junctions 8 and 9 at around 9.20am on Tuesday 13 April 2021, they found a van carrying a massive haul of cash – roughly £300,000 in a single bag.
Van Search Reveals Drugs and Cash
The van was taken to Eureka Leisure Park for a thorough search. Officers uncovered not only the enormous holdall stuffed with banknotes but also a stash of cannabis inside.
Driver Arrested on Multiple Charges
The 40-year-old driver from Nottinghamshire was hauled in on suspicion of money laundering, possession of cannabis, and driving under the influence of drugs.
He’s now out on bail, with a return date set for Friday 7 May 2021 as cops continue their probe.
