Early this morning, a serious assault sparked a police crackdown at the bottom of North Street, Brighton, right outside NatWest bank. Officers swiftly cordoned off the area as crime scene investigators got to work collecting vital evidence.

Victim Hospitalised with Serious Injuries

Sussex Police confirmed the incident happened at 3:15am on Thursday, February 23. A man was found with significant facial injuries and rushed to hospital. Fortunately, his injuries are serious but not life-threatening or life-changing. He remains under medical care.

Woman Arrested Over Assault

A 32-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault and is currently in police custody. Officers are piecing together the events that led to the violent clash.
